The Maui Diamond is our 70' Sailing Ketch. This is our home base and the center of our program. The Vessel was donated to us in August of 2017 by Mr. John Miller and his family.
The Crew has sailed the Maui Diamond over 30 times to Catalina and even sailed around the island once, stopping to dock in new places every night!
You can learn how to sail her and be part of a crew that seeks fun, adventure and most of all life long friendships.
Ship 550 is sponsored by the Los Cerritos Wetland Stewards.
The Stewards are a Long Beach Non-Profit working with the local community to propagate a growing consciousness for southern California's wildlife through holistic education and community involvement. Their mission is to cultivate a new generation of naturalists that will continue to restore and protect the native flora and fauna that define the beauty of coastal California.
CBYC is a local Long Beach cruising club founded in 1967. CBYC is Ship 550 Sea Scouts largest sponsor. CBYC provides many resources including funding, facility usage and access to its membership for mentoring opportunities.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and improve conditions. Your generous donation will fund our mission.
