National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT)
National Youth Leadership Training is an exciting, action-packed program designed to provide youth members with leadership skills and experience they can use in their home troops and in other situations demanding leadership of self and others.

National Advanced Youth Leadership Experience
National Advanced Youth Leadership Experience is an exciting program that enhances leadership skills and expands upon the team-building and ethical decision-making skills learned in National Youth Leadership Training. NAYLE emphasizes leadership, teamwork, and selfless service, using the core elements of NYLT to help youth strengthen these skills. The NAYLE course is now available at all four national high-adventure bases. The material presented is basically the same at all four venues but is specific to the unique environment of each site.

NYLT Leadership Academy
The NYLT Leadership Academy is the high-level course for NYLT Staff nationwide. NYLT Leadership Academy trains youth staff to be world-class presenters, evaluators, and leaders of their home council’s NYLT courses.

Neptune Advanced Leadership Training (NEAL)
The NEAL training program is designed to teach leadership skills while underway. NEAL is designed to “jump start” the junior leaders of new Ships and to fine tune leaders of experienced ships. It is a demanding and remarkably rewarding hands-on leadership experience. New and experienced Sea Scouts will succeed at NEAL so long as they are willing to learn and work hard at preparation.

Adult Training
Seabadge
Seabadge is a leadership and management training focused on the “how-to” aspects of managing a successful youth led Sea Scout program. While Seabadge was developed as an advanced leadership training program for experienced Sea Scout adult leaders the course is open to all adult Scout leaders. The driving theme for the training is to “Focus on Youth”, which makes the course especially valuable for any Scout leader dealing with older youth. Seabadge does not cover topics like boating, knots, or other program-related materials found in the Sea Scout Manual.

Wood Badge
Wood Badge is the most advanced training course offered by the Boy Scouts of America. The training course is rich in Scouting history and tradition.
Remember, the only pre-requisite to taking Wood Badge is you must have completed the basic training for your Scouting position. Space is limited to 40 participants, so don’t lose your chance to take advantage of this money saving opportunity
Participants will spend 6 full days and 4 nights learning modern leadership theories from contemporary scholars such as Ken Blanchard (author of the One Minute Manager series of books), Stephen R. Covey (author of The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People and Principle Centered Leadership), and Spencer Johnson (author of Who Moved My Cheese), to name a few.
